Max muses on the futilty of things, on how he keeps getting chances and blowing them, and wonders if it's fate. That drops him to his knees, but he's still whimper-sobbing a bit, so he gets one more good hit to the head and then shuts up.Īs Max exits the death shack, the sounds of war get closer, and we see helicopters and fleeing men. It doesn't knock him out, as you'd expect from the delivery of a climactic one-liner like that, so Max shrugs and pistol-whips him. ".I ain't quite as dumb as I seem!" With that, Max smacks the guy in the face with the pistol. "That's right, I might be a moron, but here's the thing-" There is a distant explosion, Max turns his head, Maybe-Serrano looks away for an instant, and Max grabs the gun and twists it around to point at him. He does keep shouting in Portugues, and I can make out "gringo" and "merda". He has similar hair, but it has been a while since I played. ![]() But we are in cutscene, so no promises yet.Īctually, I'm not sure if this is Serrano. ![]() Max does, in a pause, shout back "Haven't you figured out I don't speak your fucking language?" It's well-shouted, the spark on a slow burn fuse to a big, big boom. This cuts into actual subtitles, which don't help. Max is looking at Fabiana, as Serrano babbles unintelligably in the background.
